Why Stop With bid Laden?
Finally, America has found a reason for 'Outrage'! For the first time in many years, the pulse of the national circulation
system has blood pumping through it. Howard Beale is alive again, and you are starting to listen to his message. Open that
window and shout to the world: "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore." Well, its about time.
Let's give our federal protector all the support and tools to bring order back to the mall. Create a national service
program for the youth to dedicate their service to the community. Register everyone with fool-proof detection methods, track
their where abouts and put an end to unsafe travel. Monitor the food chain, inspect for contaminants, and be suspect if it
doesn't come out of a can. Put a lid on those web cry babies that won't enlist in the special forces. And above all, pass
a law that all houses need to fly a flag, made in China.
For a long while, it seems that the entire country has lost their senses. Now that the national identity has returned,
we should all be proud how the team pulls together. Both parties stand shoulder to shoulder as one. No more problems with
cutting those programs, the money flows again like Niagara. New agendas will weed out all those who place obstacles in the
way to raise more user fees. Those who harbor weak support, will be recruited for remedial education, while those who drop
a dime on their neighbor will get free long distance service.
Now that we have found our true calling, why not correct a few other problems that have been hanging around for years?
Put those preachers in their place. How dare one of them say that we bear responsibility for our sins! We contributed to the
United Way last year, our part was done . . . And what about those disloyal investors who refuse to buy when the markets fall.
But the most disgusting are those airport commuters who complain about full body searches. Don't they know we are at war?
These are the same people who refuse to buy the new NYC bonds.
How quickly we all forget how great those last eight years were. Jet set trips around the globe, vacations with press
admirers, breaking bread with pardon seekers and who could forget that extra pleasure from under the desk? There was no need
to be upset, the Chinese are our partners. Pains was only felt, but never experienced. Words meant whatever one wanted them
to be. And tears could come as easy as a bite to the lip. Who could forget Ron Brown and that strange hole in his head. Or
Vince Foster and that last drive to the park. Yes, these were Days of Remembrance.
So glad that 'Outrage' is back in style. We have an enemy for all to see. The towel on his head won't hide him now. We
know who you are, and all your friends. The polls say so, so it must be right. That bad guy Arafat stole my Nobel. Now we
can rejoice for he is going to get his own hell.
Tony Blair is waving his 'Third Wave', as he sends in the troops. So glad they are on our side and come to use all our
aid in a way that makes us all proud. Terror will be wiped off the planet if it means making Kipling looks like a wimp. We
won't stop with Asia, but will venture back into the dark continent. More work is yet to be done. Without this 'Outrage' none
of this could be possible. And who says that the Crown is out of vogue?
Feeling alive again after such a long sleep, makes us aware of all to be thankful for in our lives. We have a government
who protects us, we have a media who tells us what we need to know, we have friends throughout the world who welcomes our
visits and we have a public who believes in all this. How could anyone fear the loss of this paradise?
Our purpose is fixed our goal is set. The battle of Manassas will be fought as many times as need be, so another Masada
can be averted. Those who attack and pillage must pay the price. No society can allow those who inflict this Terror go unpunished.
No nation or group of countries that sanction these kind of attacks are free from guilt and immune from moral condemnation.
No person who, plans, finances and authorizes these dreadful deeds is above the censure, denunciation and accountability for
Are we not, 'America United' in knowing who the enemies are? Who are responsible? And who deserves proper punishment?
So glad that 'Outrage' is back in fashion for the armchair citizen. A nation assembled, with its will for action, surely will
do the right thing? No doubt that the task before us is one of purpose and justice. Surely, you will want to complete the
job, and bring the remaining Terrorists to account for their horror.
